Christoph is a consultant anesthesiologist at Narkose.ch in Winterthur, Switzerland.
He has a distinguished career that spans 22 years at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) in Geneva, Switzerland, where he held the position of Consultant Anesthesiologist and Chief of the Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA) sector within the Department of Anesthesiology. Christoph continues to share his expertise as a volunteer consultant anesthesiologist at HUG.
Before joining Narkose.ch, Christoph served as the Head of the Division of Anesthesiology at the Lugano Regional Hospital from June 2019 to June 2023. In 2022, he was appointed Titular Professor at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in the medical faculty and remains a private lecturer at the Medical Faculty of Geneva.
His doctoral thesis at the University of Geneva, titled "Drug Interactions in the Context of Neuromuscular Blockade: Clinical Implications and Safety Issues," is widely regarded as a seminal work on neuromuscular blocking agents by leading experts in the field, having been downloaded over one thousand times.

Research and publications
Christoph has articles published in high impact journals such as JAMA, JAMA Surgery, Anesthesia and Analgesia, Anesthesiology, European Journal of Pain and European Journal of Anaesthesiology. In addition, he has been awarded the prize of 'best publication' on two occasions at the annual congress of the Swiss Society of Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation and has presented at 8 occasions at the Day and Prize for Clinical Research of the Clinical Research Center of Geneva University Hospitals (HUG).
Commitment and purpose

In the last few years, Christoph has also created a national research group on curare and their monitoring.
At present, he has two ongoing studies on curare in collaboration with the University Hospital of Geneva and the regional hospital of Sion. Collaboration with the Division of Anaesthesiology of the University Hospital of Debrecen will start soon.
A further study, with the participation of 280 patients, was carried out in partnership with the Anaesthesia service of the University Hospital of Lausanne. This has recently been published and achieved and reached a very high Altimetric score. It was also mentioned in Pulsations, the journal of Geneva University Hospitals. This study had direct impact on daily clinical practice as it deals with rapid sequence induction and tries to reduce its side effects.
